The floor mosaic of the Hippolytus Hall in front of the Church of the Virgin Mary. It decorated a rich mansion of 6th century Byzantine Madaba. Due to stylistic parallels it was dated to the Justinian period (527-565).
The hall has irregular dimensions: it is 7.3 m wide on the eastern side (top) and approximately 9.5 m long from east to west.
