The MALBA - Museum of Latin American Art Buenos Aires -, was founded in 2001 by Eduardo F. Costantini with the donation of more than 200 works of his collection. It is a museum devoted to Art from Latin America, currently holding a prestigious collection of more than 600 artworks, and offering an active program of exhibitions, workshops, film, literature, and publications.
For the building of the MALBA, at the end of the 1990s, an international open call was organized by the International Union of Architects, within the framework of the Bienal Internacional de Arquitectura de Buenos Aires. 450 proposals from 45 different countries were submitted. The selection was made by an international jury of architects and the first prize was awarded to three young Argentinean architects: Gastón Atelman, Martín Fourcade and Alfredo Tapia.

Exhibition of MALBA's permanent collection, 2016 - 2018, curated by Andrea Giunta, and Agustín Pérez Rubio, Artistic Director of the museum. The show was the result of a research project that has been underway for over two years, proposing a living history of Latin America in actions and experiences.
