Representation of the holy district in Mecca, the most important sanctuary in Islam. In a rectangular field occupied by white battlements, the black cube-shaped building of Kaʿba is reproduced, surrounded by a low white wall, and other buildings of the complex such as the minbar (pulpit) and minarets.
