Ein Malbuch, Berlin, Altberliner Verlag, 1987
Covers of a book that was not intented to be published. In the early 1970s Mauricio Gatti wrote this story for his little daughter, while being a political prisoner in Uruguay. The animals of the jungle live peacefully and well together, but one day a hunter comes into the forest. He promises them an easier and better life in the distant city. But he lies. They are all locked up. Only the girl Paula comforts the animals. But once a little dove with a red beak comes and brings a letter from the forest, a message of hope.
The book became an important tool for solidarity campaigns.
