Nanakeli, from the Kurdish town of Erbil, returned after a lengthy absence to find that the wells that once provided fresh, clean water for the city no longer existed. Replaced by aqueducts often contaminated by waste and chemicals, the contamination of water is as much a source of concern for Nanakeli as the memory of "home" contaminated by change.
