Fast tour through Sharjah Biennial 11, 13 March - 13 May 2013. A selection of art works at different venues.

New SAF Art Spaces

Five new exhibition buildings of the Sharjah Art Foundation, inaugurated for SB11. Approx. 20,000 square feet of interior space, connected by courtyards, alleyways and rooftop terraces.

Baits in Al Mureijah; Sharjah Creek

Rebuilt heritage houses, spaces in process of reconstruction in the old city of Sharjah. Boat trip across the Sharjah Creek.

Calligraphy Square

Art and culture institutions and other venues around the Calligraphy Square in the Eastern part of the Heritage Area.

Bank Street

Before the building of the Sharjah Islamic Bank gets demolished, it is used as a venue for SB11. Works in the public space along Bank Street.

Collections Building

Art venue of the Sharjah Art Foundation for exhibitions, art events, and workshops. Used to house the Ruler's collection.

Arts Square

Works and performances in the public space on the Arts Square, in one of the oldest areas of Sharjah where important art venues are located.

Bait Obaid Al Shamsi

A restored creek-side house in the Arts Area with artists' studios and gallery spaces surrounding a large courtyard.

Sharjah Art Museum

This year, the Biennial uses only a section at the upper floor of the main building of the museum as an exhibition venue.

Bait Al Serkal

Renovated three-storey heritage building from the 19th century. Venue for changing exhibitions, workshops, and events.
