CrossCulture Internships Programme

Opportunities for young professionals and volunteers from Germany and countries of the Islamic world to gather experience abroad. Deadline for applications: 31 January 2015
Jan 2015

The CrossCulture Internships Programme (CCP) is an exchange and dialogue programme of ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen). The programme is implemented in partnership with the German Federal Foreign Office. Since 2005 it offers young professionals and committed volunteers the opportunity to expand their professional and political competence. Since the beginning of the programme over 350 participants from 32 countries gathered international experience with an internship (8 to 12 weeks) abroad, in another cultural context.

CCP offers a forum for open dialogue and mutual learning for all those involved and enables them to act as multipliers. The intercultural exchange fosters on-going dialogue of people and institutions and boosts the formation of networks between organisations in Germany and Islamic countries in a sustained manner. Thus, it stimulates transnational co-operation.

There are two possible ways of participating in the CrossCulture Internships programme:

1. Your organisation is prepared to host a CrossCulture intern. Please contact CrossCulture for further information: Crossculture@ifa.de

2. Your organisation would like to suggest or encourage an employee to apply for a CrossCulture Internship. Please find online the application forms for candidates who would like to participate in the CrossCulture Internships programme.

The CCP scholarship offers the following benefits:

For participants from Germany:
- visa fee
- health insurance
- travel costs roundtrip
- a monthly grant of 1.100 Euro
(includes accommodation and public transport at destination, to be organized by participant)

For participants from abroad:
