Monologist
A 1952 oil painting on canvas depicts a female addressing a crowd from a stage. Her hands are placed on her waist, while a large spotlight illuminates her presence. Behind her are five seated figures: three women, seemingly idle, with hands resting on their laps; and two men playing musical instruments. The crowd is exclusively composed of men, all of whom are wearing hats or other forms of headwear. The painting has sweeping brushstrokes and solid blocks of deep red, yellow, blue, and green colors. The width of the painting is 60 cm. Its height is 46 cm.
