L'Blassa is housed in an abandoned Art Deco building on the corner of Rue de la Liberté and Rue Yugoslavie. Erected in 1932, the building is situated in the district of Gueliz, built up whilst Morocco was still a French protectorate. This building is typical of Gueliz, which is characterised by wide boulevards, roundabouts and modern buildings which derives from Haussmann's urban (re-)planning of Paris in the late 19th Century.

During Marrakech Biennale 5, L'Blassa hosts artists from the main exhibition from the visual arts and cinema and video discipline, several parallel projects and Mint Collective's partner project.
