Diplomatic – Al Seef Areas
What comes into the minds of citizens and residents of Bahrain when they hear names of old and new service areas?
In the past, names of many residential and service areas in Bahrain were associated, in people’s minds, with the main objectives of setting them up. The aim was to develop project planning to provide citizens and residents with better services and living facilities. Therefore, the names of these areas were associated, in people’s minds, with progress and comfort as far as finalizing procedures and formalities is concerned. These areas were also distinguished by modern road planning and smooth traffic flow.
Today, names of these areas are associated, in people’s minds, with congestion, population density, chaotic construction, difficult access and parking problems, which causes people’s anger and nervousness. Narrow streets and lack of parking space make it difficult for people to have formalities processed without delay and may cause them to pay traffic fines.
Spaces in these areas are occupied by chaotic building blocks, without taking into consideration the number of people flocking there daily, and their need for safe parking lots.
This clearly reflects the lack of planning that unfortunately affects other new service areas, which leads people to associate, in their minds, any new service project with chaotic planning, causing them tension and discomfort.
