Bab Okla is the oldest gate of the medina. It used to be the gate for foreign lands, since it is directly connected to the Mediterranean Sea less than a hundred kilometres away from the Strait of Gibraltar. Today, it remains one of the main gates of the medina: the city’s source of pride. It was entirely renovated a few years ago.
