A series of curator - artist discussions about global photography at the Tate Modern in London begins on the 22nd of September 2006 with the Middle East and ends in December. The talks can be viewed live as a webcast over the internet and will be accessible a fortnight later through the archives.
The first discussion deals with the use of photography as a means of contemporary Middle Eastern artists to express their views on the Western notion of the "orient" and "oriental art".
