signmaker NAKAZAKI, 2016
Tohru Nakazaki, who was born in Ibaraki Prefecture, evokes the memory of this historically familiar land with an installation of signs of place names ––such as Miwa, Suifu, Satomi, and Kanasago–– that no longer exist due to the consolidation of municipalities.
The lightbox-type signs are assembled inside a vacant store of Hitachi-Taga shopping district.
