Oiwasan Unryu-zu (painting of dragon and clouds), 2016
Oiwa shrine, known as a power spot in Hitachi city, has been a place of worship. The remains of the Jomon period in the precinct are remnants of its over 700 year-old history.
Miki Okamura undertook a ceiling painting for Sai Shrine, one of the premises in Oiwa Shrine. In the painting, a flying dragon casts its gaze on viewers through the clouds over the Oiwa Mountain.
