Wooden spoon, around 1944/45
In addition to one's own eating bowl, the spoon represented a utensil necessary for survival in the concentration camp. This wooden spoon, which she carefully preserved after the war, was given to the Regional Museum Neubrandenburg by the Frenchwoman Odile Roger, née Arrighi (1923-2014), in 1975.

Eating bowl, around 1944
This brown enameled tin bowl was recovered in 1982 from the Waldbau site in Neubrandenburg. In all likelihood, it served the concentration camp prisoners as an eating bowl and was thus one of the few things they were legally allowed to possess.

Self-made knife, before 1945
To make knives, the prisoners probably stole metal parts from the workshops. They used the knives mainly for dividing bread and for sewing and carving. The possession of sharp objects was forbidden to the prisoners. Inspections were carried out regularly in the barracks.

Congratulation card
With this greeting card Czech prisoners congratulated Vera Žahourková, née Vacková, on her 20th birthday. The card, on which three roses are depicted in colored pencil, bears the date March 18, 1945. The abbreviation "N. B.-Waldbau" probably stands for the Ravensbrück subcamp Waldbau in Neubrandenburg.
