Irshaid utilises charcoal drawing and colouring as well as painting in watercolour, oils and acrylics. She produces both abstract and realistic paintings utilising different styles and techniques. One of the most significant ends she achieves is developing ideas and topics that are translated into paintings that apply different fine art techniques. This project represents rooms, such as kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms, that were demolished during world wars. The aim is to portray the state of the wartime wreckage and to highlight the structures that remained resilient in spite of the destruction that surrounded them. The final product embodies humanity’s steadfastness despite oppression, injustice, tragedies and wars, affirming that hope for a better life is always there.
