Abdul Qadir Al Rais, (born 1951 in Dubai, UAE) Al Rais holds a Bachelor of Sharia and Law from the UAE University, 1982. Al Rais is one of the pioneers of the fine arts movement in the UAE, whose works are inspired by the local environment and Arabic letter. He has held over 36 solo exhibitions in Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Kuwait, Prague, Beirut, Washington, and Germany. He has participated in numerous grou exhibitions both at home and abroad, and represented the UAE in several art gatherings, such as Casablanca, Kuwait, Riyadh, London, Madrid, Geneva, Vienna, Seoul, Bologna, Paris, and Athens. Al Rais is a recipient of many awards and accolades, including: The UAE Honor Award of Science, Art and Literature (photography and drawing), (2006); First prize, UAE Exhibition, China (1991); First prize, "The UAE in the Eyes of its Artists" Exhibition, (1999); The Golden Palm Award, the GCC Art Exhibition (1999).

Abdullah Al Saadi (born 1967, Khorfakkan, UAE). Al Saadi obtained a Bachelor of English Literature from the UAE University, Al Ain (1993), and then continued to study Japanese art at Kyoto Seika University, Japan (1994-1996). His works are a combination of drawing, photography, artistic diaries, and collection and categorization of objects. Al Saadi’s works were prominently featured in a wide range of local and international artistic gatherings, including: "Al-Toubay", a solo exhibition, Sharjah Art Foundation (2014); "Emirati Expressions", Abu Dhabi (2013); Art of Body and Performance in the Gulf Region (16 artists), New York University, Abu Dhabi (2013). He has participated in the 10th Sharjah Biennial, Sharjah (2011), and in the UAE Pavilion at Venice Biennale (2009). Some of his works were displayed at "Languages from the Desert" exhibition, Kunstmuseum Bonn (2005), São Paulo Biennial 26 (2004), Sharjah 6th Biennial (2003), and in "Five Artists from the UAE" Exhibition, Ludwig Forum for International Art (2002), Aachen, Germany.

Abdulraheem Salim (born 1955, Dubai, UAE). Obtained a Bachelor degree from the sculpture department, College of Fine Arts, Cairo University (1981). He has held over 10 solo exhibitions in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Egypt. Additionally he has taken part in a number of major art events at home and abroad: The annual exhibitions of the UAE Fine Arts Society (1981-2001); First and Second GCC Art Exhibitions, Doha, Qatar (1983); First and second Al Banoosh Exhibition (1983, 1984); Second National Arts Exhibition, Sharjah (1985); Negative and Positive Exhibition (1983); Sharjah Biennial 2001; Cairo Biennial (88, 92, 1995); Bangladesh Biennial (1995); The first exhibition of the UAE Fine Arts Society in India (1990); Arabian Colors Exhibition, Sharjah Museum of Art, Sharjah (1996); The UAE in the Eyes of its Artists, Cultural foundation, Abu Dhabi (1998); The UAE Expo Hanover, Germany (2000). He has also received a number of awards including the State Honor Award for Fine Arts, UAE (2008), the Jury’s Award at Cairo Biennial (1992), and the silver award at the 6th Bangladesh Biennial (1993).

Abdulrahman Zainal (born 1951, Dubai, UAE). Zainal holds a bachelor of Fine Arts from Cairo College of fine Arts (1978), as well as Post-graduate studies at Edinburgh Fine Arts College, Scotland. His solo exhibitions include: Dubai High School (1973); Lancaster Hotel Hyde Park, London, (1980); Al Ahli Club, Dubai (1992); Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation (1992). Zainal took part in many group exhibitions, including the annual exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, as well as group exhibitions in Italy, Moscow, Japan, France, Australia, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Syria, Qatar, and Germany. He is a recipient of many prizes, including the first prize at Doha Scout Camp (1969); the "Golden Dana", Kuwait (1998); the second prize "Expressive Faces" (1998); and the second prize "Environment Day" (1998).

Ahmed Al Ansari (born 1954, Sharjah, UAE). Al Ansari is a founding member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society. He took part in several exhibitions at home and abroad. He organized the first solo exhibition in the UAE to mark the inauguration of Radio Sharjah (1972). At Hilton Abu Dhabi (1979). He took part in the annual exhibition of GCC Artists (1994), and the 9th Exhibition of Fine Art, held at the Cultural Foundation, Abu Dhabi (1994). In 1994 h was recognized by the 3rd Exhibition of GCC Artists as a pioneer of fine art movement in the UAE.

Ahmed Sharif (born Dubai, UAE. Lives and works in Dubai, UAE) is a member of the board at Emirates Fine Arts Society. He participated in many exhibitions and art festivals since 1993 in the UAE, Bahrain, Lebanon, France, Germany, Australia, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Iran. He also participated in various biennials: Sharjah 1997, Cairo 2001, Arab University 2001, Mahaba 2003, Dhaka 2003, Tehran 2005, and EMAAR international Symposium – Dubai 2005. In addition to many digital video art workshops in the UAE and Netherlands. He won many prizes nationally and internationally.

Hassan Sharif (1951 - 2016, Dubai, UAE). Sharif holds a diploma of fine arts from Byam Shaw School of Art, London, UK (1984). A pioneer of conceptual art in the UAE and the Middle East at large, Sharif played a major role in promoting contemporary art in the Region through his diverse works, which include live performance, drawing, photography, amalgamation of different materials, and synthetic works. He is a founding member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society (1980). He published cartoons in newspapers and magazines between 1970-1979. In 1987 he founded the Free Atelier at the Youth Arts Theater in Dubai.
His works have been featured prominently, both at home and internationally. Some of his major solo exhibitions include: "Hassan Sharif", Alexander Gray Associates, New York, USA (2014); Gallery Isabelle van den Eynde, Dubai (2013); "Works 1980-2012", Safir Gallery, Beirut, Lebanon (2012); "Hassan Sharif – First Grade, GP Agency, Paris, France (2012); "Experiences and Things", Qasr Al Hosn Cultural Palace, Abu Dhabi, 2011. Additionally he has taken part in many group exhibitions and international biennales, including the annual exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society since 1980; "Negative- Positive", Al Ahli Club, Dubai (1983); "One Day" exhibition, Al Mareejah Atelier, Sharjah (1985), Biennale India (2014), Biennale Sydney (2012), Venice Biennale (2009), and Biennale Cairo (1998), and in several editions of Sharjah Biennale (93, 9, 97, 99, 2001, 2003). Sharif is the author of four books: "Sharp Tools to Create Art, 1995", "The New Art, 1995", "the Concept of Art, 1997", and "The Five, 2003".

Mohammed Abdullah Bulhiah (born 1953, Sharjah, UAE). Bulahiah is a natural sculptor whose spontaneous works are inspired by the local environment. As a member of numerous cultural societies and organizations, including the Emirates Fine Arts Society, the GCC Art Friends Group, Al Jidar Fine Arts Group, and Al Iyab Fine Arts Society. He has organized several solo exhibition, and has taken part in a host of local and international artistic gatherings and exhibitions, including: the UAE Fine Arts Society’s exhibitions between 1986-1993; Sharjah Biennials 1, 2 & 3 (1993, 199, 1997); the first GCC Fine Arts Exhibition (1989), and the Portraits exhibition, UAE Fine Arts Society (1995). He has participated in most of the local and international exhibitions organized by the Emirates Fine Arts Society during 1985-2000, in Egypt, Italy, India, Oman, Sudan, Spain, Moscow, Korea, Romania, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, France, Germany, Sydney, and Jordan. He represented the UAE at the International Festival of Love and Peace in Korea, where he won a gold medal. He is a recipient of many artistic awards and accolades, including the first place in sculpture at the general exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, the sculpture award – professionals category, at the Emirates in the Eyes of its Artists Exhibition, the Cultural Foundation, Abu Dhabi.

Mohammed Al Qassab (born 1960, Dubai, UAE). He is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, and has held different positions on its Board of Directors. Al Qassab is the founder of the Society’s Outreach program. He has taken part in many group exhibitions, both at home and abroad, including: "Rathaiyyat" (Elegies): a solo exhibition he organized at his residence in Sharjah (2004); The annual exhibitions of the UAE Fine Arts Society (1982-2014); The Exhibition of Arab Artists, Kuwait, (1983); Al Banoosh 1st and 2nd exhibitions (1983, 1984); The Fine Art Bazaar, Sharjah Expo Center (1984); The GCC Youth Cultural Festival, Japan (1985); Arab Artists 9th Exhibition, Kuwait, (1985); The 1st GCC Fine Arts Exhibition (1989); Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation Exhibition (1986); Social Work Festival, North Korea, (1989); Cairo 3rd & 5th Biennial (1992 / 1995); Sharjah Biennial, 1st, 2nd & 3rd editions (1993, 1995, 1997); "Arabian Heritage from Sharjah to Japan" Exhibition, Museum of Art, Ishikawa Ken, Kanazawa, Japan (2010). In 2014 he took part in the Resident Artist program, Düsseldorf, Germany. Many of his works have been collected by, and are on display at, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Barjeel Art Foundation, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Sharjah Museum of Art. Awards he has received include; The Golden Prize (as representative of the UAE) at the 1st GCC Fine Art Exhibition (1989); The Silver Jubilee at the GCC Art Exhibition, Muscat (2013); Recognized among the 1st edition of the GCC Creative artists, Riyadh (2012).

Mohammed Kazem (born 1969, Dubai, UAE). Kazem is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society. He studied the Fundamentals of Drawing at the Emirates Fine Arts Society (1984-1987), as well as studying music at Rayat Institute of Music, Dubai (1990-1991). Recently he obtained a Master of Arts from Philadelphia University of the Arts. From 1999-2007 he served as supervisor of the Youth Atelier at Dubai Youth Theater. A conceptual artist, Kazem’s works depict changes in sociopolitical and natural environments worldwide. He represented the UAE at Venice Biennale 2013. Additionally he has participated in numerous arts events in the Arab world and globally, including Havana Biennial (2000), Dhaka Biennial (2002), Singapore Biennial (2006), and most recently at Mori Art Museum, Tokyo. He is the recipient of many artistic awards, including the first award of synthetic works at Sharjah Biennial (1999), and the Sharjah Biennial Award (2003).

Dr. Mohamed Yousif (born 1953, Sharjah, UAE). He holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts, from Manav Rachna International University, India; a Master’s of Fine Art from Webster University, Missouri (2000); and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Cairo College of Fine Arts, Egypt (1978). He is one of the founding members of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, and Chairman of its Board of Directors for several terms. He was Chair on the Board of Directors of Sharjah National Theater. Dr. Yousif is a pioneering artist who made invaluable contributions to the fine arts movement in the UAE. Motion and stillness feature prominently in Yousif’s works, where the medium also serves as a means for conveying meaning and perspective. He participated in a host of international art gatherings, including Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Morocco, Syria, Oman, Bahrain, India, Japan, Italy, Spain, France, Lebanon, Jordan, and Bangladesh. At home, he participated in all the exhibitions organized by the Emirates Fine Arts Society since its inception in 1979. In 2003 he organized an exhibition titled "Exiting In", at his house, in Sharjah. He is a recipient of many artistic awards and accolades, including the UAE Honor Award (2009), and the first golden prize at Bangladesh Biennial (2004).

Moosa Al Halyan (born 1969, Dubai, UAE). Al Halyan is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society. He has participated in many group exhibitions, both at home and abroad, including: Al Banoosh 2nd Exhibition, Al Wasl Club, Dubai, (1984); The 6th GCC Youth Exhibition, Abu Dhabi, (1990); UAE University’s exhibitions – (1988, 1990); The annual exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society (84, 86, 87, 88, 1990); An art exhibition at the Teachers Society, Khor Fakkan, (1988); Sharjah Biennial 2nd & 3rd editions (1995, 1997), Madrid Exhibition, (1996); The Arab Youth Festival, Riyadh, (1982); Oman Exhibition (1988); The Society’s 1st Exhibition in Bahrain, (1988); India, (1990); Khartoum, (1987); Bangladesh Biennial (1996). Awards received include: Winner of the top prize, GCC Exhibition, Oman (1988), and of the third prize at "The UAE in the Eyes of Its Artists" Exhibition, Abu Dhabi Cultural foundation, (1998).

Dr. Najat Hassan Meky (born, Dubai, UAE). Meky holds a Ph.D. in Metal Coins from Cairo College of Fine Arts in 2001. She is a member of numerous cultural societies and organizations, including the Emirates Fine Arts Society, the GCC Art Friends Group, Al Jidar Fine Arts Group, and Al Iyab Fine Arts Society. She has organized several solo exhibitions at: Sharjah Museum of Arts "Distinctive Marks", (2001); the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi (2011), Sharjah Art Gallery (2005); Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation (2006); Abbekos Gallery, Sweden (2007); Emirates Fine Arts Society’s Gallery, Sharjah (2007); and Cairo Atelier (1992). Additionally she has participated in group exhibitions and international gatherings, such as: Luxor 6th Photography Forum, Luxor, Egypt (2013); Arab Female Artists Exhibition, Sharjah (1995); China International Sculpture Symposium (2008); Sharjah Biennial 1, 2, and 3 (1993, 1995, 1997); Teheran Contemporary Art Biennial (2002). Meky is a recipient of many artistic awards in the Arab World and internationally, including the State Honor Award in Science, Literature and Arts (2008).

Obaid Suroor (born 1955, Ras Al Khaima, UAE). Suroor has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from Cairo University, 1979. He is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society; in charge of the Society’s Atelier in Ras Al Khaima. He has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both at home and abroad. These included: All the exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, organized within the UAE and abroad; All the Society’s annual events held between 1980-2000; The Fine Arts bazaar, Sharjah Expo (1984); Al Banoosh 1st and 2nd Exhibition (1983-1984); Cairo Biennial (1988); The GCC 3rd Regular Exhibition (1994); Cairo 5th International Biennial (1994); Sharjah Biennial, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th editions (1995, 1997, 1999, 2001); Bangladesh Biennial (1995); Jarash Festival (1996); The Emirates in the Eyes of its Artists, the Cultural foundation, Abu Dhabi (1998); The Exhibitions Center, Ras Al Khaimah (2002, 2003); Exhibitions in Algeria and Saudi Arabia (2005).

 Salim Jawhar (born 1956, Ras Al Khaima, UAE). Holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Major: Ceramics). He is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society. He has taken part in many group exhibitions, both at home and abroad, including: The Emirates Fine Arts Society’s Exhibition, Africa Hall, Sharjah, (1981); The annual exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society (82, 83, 84, 1994); The 8th Exhibition of Arab Artists, Kuwait, (1982); India Biennial, (1984); Ceramics Art and Arabian Calligraphy Exhibition, Sharjah Expo, (1985); UAE Exhibition, Casablanca, Morocco, (1993); Sharjah Biennial, 2nd & 4th editions (1995, 1997); The first GCC Ceramics Art Biennial, Kuwait, (2001); Cairo 6th Ceramics Biennial, (2002); The 6th Audiovisual Exhibition, (2003); The Pioneers Exhibition (marking the UAE Fine Arts Society’s silver jubilee), (2006).
