With over 250 species, the Sharjah Aquarium showcases the variety of marine life native to the seas around the UAE, from the smallest clown fish and delicate seahorses to moray eels, rays and reef sharks, to be found in the depths of the sea, in the rock pools, coral reefs, lagoons and mangroves.
The Sharjah Aquarium opened in Al Khan Old area in 2008. It covers an area of 6500 sq m, and consists of two floors equipped with 20 water aquariums, each of which is filled with 1.8 million liters of water.
