Rick Lowe. The Arch within the Arc

Inspired by the architecture of the Museo di Palazzo Grimani and the urban dynamics of Venice, the exhibition features new paintings that emerged from Lowe's consideration of the arch in architecture. Presented in collaboration with Gagosian.

Some thirty costumes recording the route of Marco Polo’s journey, with original sketches of the preparation of RAI’s major TV production. The exhibition pays tribute to the director Giuliano Montaldo, costume designer Enrico Sabbatini and composer Ennio Morricone.

Peggy Guggenheim Foundation:
Jean Cocteau: The Juggler’s Revenge

The exhibition, organized by eminent Cocteau specialist and New York University art historian Kenneth E. Silver, highlights the artist’s versatility, the multiple juggling acts that distinguished his production, which often drew criticism from his contemporaries.

Boris Lurie. Life with the Dead
20 April - 24 November 2024
More than fifty works by Boris Lurie from 1950 to 1970 illustrate his active commitment to social justice and the memory of the Holocaust. Born in Leningrad in 1924 in a Jewish family and raised in Riga, he lost his mother, grandmother, sister and his childhood sweetheart in 1941 in a mass shooting by the Nazis. Boris Lurie survived German concentration camps and emigrated to New York in 1946.
Organized by Boris Lurie Art Foundation in collaboration with the Museum Center for Persecuted Arts.

Zeng Fanzhi: Near and Far / Now and Then

With an installation designed by architect Tadao Ando, the exhibition premieres two recent bodies of work: new abstract paintings and works on handmade paper rendered in ink, graphite, chalk and gold dust, among other mineral pigments.
Co-curated by Michael Govan and Stephen Little.
Organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
