Museo Aero Solar For an Aerocene Era. 2007–now
Museo Aero Solar; Collective project initiated by artist Tomás Saraceno through conversations with Alberto Pesavento. Open and growing collection of community-built Floating Museums: sunpowered air balloons, reused plastic bags cut, pasted, and joined together; video Aerocene Backpack; Portable flight-starter-kit enclosing an aerosolar sculpture, including: ripstop balloon, canvas backpack, recycled plastic bottle, sensing devices; internal and external air quality, pressure, humidity, and temperature sensors, remotely operated photo and video camera, GPS tracker, portable solar power bank, long range Wi-Fi module, antenna, and computer interface.
