Representative headquarters and operational offices of the Fondazione Claudio Buziol since 2008, and one of the venues of the exhibition Future Pass.
Built in 1751 by Antonio Visentini for the British consul Mr. Joseph Smith, protector and patron of Canaletto. Consul Smith used to show Canaletto's paintings at the Palazzo.
The Fondazione Claudio Buziol was established in 2006 in memory of Claudio Buziol, founder of the Fashion Box, a collection of companies which manufacture and distribute the Replay fashion brands in over 50 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Africa. Claudio Buziol sadly passed away in 2005 at the early age of 47.
The Foundation was established to pursue projects in the areas of design, education and training with particular attention towards fostering youth creativity in the present and future. Both through giving direct support and through collaborations with other institutions, the Foundation supports initiatives and projects that provide young people with education and training to help them develop their creative abilities and their means of artistic expression. No matter what forms these may take, the Foundation provide them with a solid opportunity to bring a professional dream or life project to fruition.
Through its ceaseless efforts, the Foundation tirelessly supports diverse creative expressions, including video, photography, graphic design, design, fashion, interactive works, music and writing. The foundation hosts various activities ranging from exhibitions to workshops and artists and designers' residency programs.
