Uber Capitalism
Chocolate sculpture at the Burg square, a replica of the Huis ter Beurze (house of the family Van der Beurse, built in 1246), from which the term bourse is derived, and which was the first ever stock exchange in the 13th century. Above the sculpture rotates the sign "Uber Capitalism"
Cocoa production is still associated with serious forms of child labour and economic exploitation, no different to the colonial era. At the same time, our new digital economy, where services such as Uber transform a single man into a company, is generating new forms of exploitation.
