Something, everything. 2020
While the Greek fleet prepares for their war on Troy, Agamemnon mistakenly kills a sacred deer running in Artemis’s garden—the goddess of hunt, wilderness, and animals. She retaliates by creating strong winds to prevent the Greek troops from reaching Troy. Unless Agamemnon kills Iphigenia, his daughter, as a human sacrifice, the goddess wouldn’t forgive. He refuses at first. However, he is forced to sacrifice her because of the Greek army’s eagerness for war. According to the myth, the gods spared Iphigenia and whisked her away, replacing her with a deer.
This is the story of a world of blood in exchange of a truce, and a wreath of thorns to atone for the sins of the world.
