Science in Art and Art in Science
Through our work in the fields of science and mathematics with different age groups, we noticed that there are surprising aesthetics to some of the experiments, performances and activities. This encouraged us to hold art and science workshops in collaboration with local and international artists, which garnered unprecedented success.
Fluid Art: an artistic practice known worldwide, sometimes resulting in random paintings, and, at other times, producing controlled forms. This art, to us, is connected to the concept of chaos in physics as well as viscosity and flow, and Bernoulli's principle that governs them.
Drawings with Magnets: we are used to seeing different patterns in the magnetic field lines, and so discovered the possibility of drawing using magnetic materials dipped in colours and utilised with magnets.
Chemistry Art: when some of the chemical compounds exist in adequate media, they build rising shapes that resemble growing plants, akin to a garden with different colours and shapes.
Colourful Tubes: we use colours, air pressure and the cohesiveness and adhesiveness phenomena to create an artistic scenery inside glass tubes.
Art on the Wall: we reuse cardboard boxes and newspapers to create murals from various geometric shapes.
