Florencia Malbrán

Argentinian curator and critic. Professor of contemporary art at the Buenos Aires branch of New York University. She has a Masters in Curatorial Studies from Bard College, New York.

Some of the recent exhibitions she has curated are: Otras Voces: Alejandro Cesarco y Jorge Méndez Blake at the Fundación Proa (Buenos Aires, 2010) and Gian Paolo Minelli: Villa Lugano + Zona Sur at the Recoleta Cultural Center (Buenos Aires, 2010 , which traveled to the Museo Emilio Caraffa, Córdoba, Argentina, 2011 and the Museo del Barro, Asunción, Paraguay, 2012.

Recently, she has written essays about Ernesto Neto for the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, (Oslo, Norway) and about Ragnar Kjartansson for the Iceland Pavilion at the 53rd Biennial of Venice. She was a Hilla Rebay International Fellow at the Guggenheim Museums in New York, Bilbao, and Venice (2007-2008) and undertook residences as a curator in Spain (2009), Switzerland (2011) and France (2012).
