Sep 2014Marker 2015: Latin America
After Central Asia and the Caucasus in 2014, West Africa in 2013, Indonesia in 2012, Art Dubai has annouced that Marker, the fair's curated not-for-profit programme of galleries and artspaces for discovery and cross-cultural exchange, will focus on Latin America, and its connections with the Arab world.
In charge of it will be Luiza Teixeira de Freitas, an independent curator working between London and Lisbon. Freitas is working with a number of commercial and non-commercial organisations across the region to develop the programme, which will take a multidisciplinary approach, including artists’ books, sound projects, performance and film, as well as drawing, painting and installation.
The artists and artspaces will be announced in November.
