Apr 2013The Goethe-Institut offers a two-month advanced training course in Germany for cultural journalists from the Arab world.
A four-week seminar phase in Berlin and Munich is followed by individual internships at institutions in all of Germany.
The aim of the programme is to enhance the professional skills of Arab cultural journalists, to set up a self-supporting Arab network between the journalists and their organizations, and to promote the dialogue between German and Arab institutions.
Training: September 2 to 27, 2013 in Berlin and Munich
Internships: September 30 to October 11 or 15, 2013
(2-4 weeks individually) nationwide
Participants:
- Independent journalists from the fields of print, online, radio, or television with initial experience in cultural reporting
- Age: between 25 and 40 years
- Verifiably at least three years of professional experience
- Verifiably good English skills
From the following countries: Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Yemen, Gulf States, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia.
The Goethe-Institut will take up costs for flight, accommodation and a daily allowance.
