Art Fragment Collection. 2018
This project aims to challenge the visitors’ views on the storage and preservation of artworks; in the process of producing and deconstructing the artworks during this triennale, many “fragments” emerge, and it is these “fragments” that the artist collected and used to create an “art fragment collection". The artwork exhibition sprawls across the 3rd and 2nd floors of the former Shimizu Elementary School building and some of these fragments have been archived, while others can be purchased by visitors in the cafe.
Also housed within this exhibition space is Cafe FRAGMENT: Enjoy a cup of coffee in the space surrounded by art fragments. Various events featuring food will be held in the cafe space. Take-away menu available.
