Hong Kong House was created as a gallery space, cultural and artistic hub, and an residency and accommodation facility for the continuing collaboration between Echigo-Tsumari and Hong Kong. An open call for the architectural design for the Hong Kong House resulted in the selection of Yip Chun Hang and Team, a young architectural team that has been attracting international attention since the 2012 Venice Biennale international architecture exhibition.Throughout the upcoming years we aim to continue collaborations with Hong Kong universities, cultural institutions, municipal organisations and more for an ongoing development of a variety of regional exchange programmes, as well as for artists, performers and writers to stay and create their artistic works. During the triennale period, the Hong Kong House will also host numerous events and workshops. Sponsored by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administration Region
Tsunan area.
