YAMAMOJI Project. 2009
Born from the memory of snow-capped mountains seen in one’s childhood. The Chinese character for yama (mountain) ‘山’ is created with white cloths hung along a slope looking down on a river terrace. The 10,000 pieces of cloth, carrying prayers and wishes, were selected from submissions from the general public as well as local residents.
Cooperation: Tsunan City Forestry Union, Watanabe Linen, inc.
