Located a few steps from Rialto bridge. Built for the noble family of Bembo in the fifteenth century. Although it was remodelled several times, externally it maintains the original structure.
Birthplace of Pietro Bembo (1470-1547), a Venetian scholar, poet, literary theorist, and cardinal. He was an influential figure in the development of the Italian language, specifically Tuscan, as a literary medium.
Two complete floors of Palazzo Bembo are large spaces for temporary exhibitions. At the top floor of the there is a small hotel.
