The entrance to the museum is located in the former Scuola Grande della Carità. Its façade was created in 1830, when the restoration and remodeling work on the building complex, which had begun earlier, continued under the direction of Francesco Lazzari.
To the left of the 1830 façade, the original late Gothic entrance to the Scuola Grande della Carità, which was also the entrance to the monastery, can still be seen. It is decorated with reliefs of the patron saints in the niches next to and above the door.
