The anthropomorphic figure wears a spectacles-like eye frame – a typical attribute of the rain god Tlaloc. The elaborate feather headdress was reserved for high-ranking persons, as were the large ear plugs, which must be imagined in nephrite jade. The figure, made with a mold, on the three-legged throne with a backrest represents a member of Teotihuacan’s ruling class.
