The scroll composition of the Eastern mosaic field has an acanthus-plant at each corner, from where two vine stems originate, with bunches of grapes, leaves and tendrils, entwined to create medallions with pastoral, hunting, and wine making scenes.
In the first three horizontal registers we can see: two partridges, a pastoral scene, a bear hunter, an old man carrying grape bunches in a basket on his back, a fox and two sheep.
Fire damage has darkened an area in the center.
