Identified by the Greek word around her, there is a personification of the Earth as a woman whose head is crowned with fruits. She wears a tunic and a cloak covering her left shoulder. Her hands held the ends of the cloak which is filled with watermelons, grapes and squashes. Symmetrically on each side, a young man wearing a short sleeveless tunic tied at the waist, offers her a basket of fruit, in the classical tradition of the karpophoroi, or fruitbearers.
