The entrance to the hall was from the courtyard by a door on the northeast corner. An irregular area of the pavement near the entrance is decorated with a medallion in which a pair of sandals is framed by four birds, inviting visitors to take off their shoes and clean their feet (see the detail).
The hall was originally covered by four north-south arches with a barrel vault. The bases of the arches have been preserved. They protrude at a distance of approx. 1.25 m from the north and south walls.
