The two-storey house, built by master architect Abdel Rahman al Aqrouq in the late 19th century, includes two shops with cross vaults and narrow store openings on the ground floor. The residence is on the first floor accessed through a stairway on the left side of the building that leads to upper Jada'a. It is composed of a liwan with barrel vaulted roof and rooms on either side, a typical three-bay layout (central hallway house). A corridor from the liwan leads to a long balcony, displaying classical decoration skillfully carved in yellow sandstone. Mouasher House was restored as an initiative from Dr. Rajaei Mouasher as a private museum.
