The triangular two-storey mixed-use house on the corner of Khader Street and Hammam Street in front of Al-Ain Plaza, was built by the Daoud family at the end of the 19th century and remains as their property until now.
The original peasant house was transformed into a merchand house with shops on the ground floor. The upper floor with an extended three-bay spatial configuration was for residential use.
One of the shops in the Daoud building facing Al-Ain Plaza was used as madafa, open after sunset to receive travelers or visitors to the city.
