This photo-novel transports the reader to the age of the Cold War in Beirut in 1960 as it narrates the story of three women—Afaf Samra, Hala Haddad and Huda Al Wadi—whose meeting reveals the entanglements of politics and culture through the prisms of power, money, creativity and friendship.
