Forest Law is based on the investigation carried out by the Swiss artist Ursula Biemann and the Brazilian architect Paulo Tavares at the oil and mining frontier of the Ecuadorian Amazonia, one of the most bio-diverse regions rich in minerals of the planet, currently under the pressure of a dramatic expansion of large-scale extraction activities. At the core of Forest Law lies a series of legal cases which constitute milestones and legal precedents that take the Forest to the courts, advocating for the rights of nature.
