Every year ARTBO, the international art fair of Bogotá (in partnership with Prodigy Colombia, W and El Tiempo), awards a grant to one of the participating artist of the section Artecámara, consisting of a one year residency at FLORA, an independent space in Bogotá dedicated to the relationship between art and nature. In 2013, the winner was the Antiochian artist Camila Botero (* 1976 Medellín). As a conclusion of her residency Bogota's Chamber of Commerce presents Deslocalizaciones, the first solo exhibition of Camila Botero in the city.
Curator: José Roca
During her stay in Bogotá, Camila Botero got interested in the architecture of the poor and middle-class neighborhoods, both the buildings and living compounds as well as the anonymous architecture carried out by the people themselves without the mediation of an architect.
