The highlight of the Museo de Arqueología de Alta Montaña are the mummies of three children, sacrificed in the Inca period on the Llullaillaco volcano (6739 m), with over 100 burial offerings.

Graphics in the MAAM exhibition show the platform and arrangement of the infant mummies and burial objects (left), as well as the layers and depths at which they were found.
At the top (in the north) the 15-year-old Maiden. Below (to the east) the 6-year-old "Lightning Girl" (Niña del Rayo). At the bottom (in the south) the 7-year-old Boy.
