The MALBA (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires) was founded in 2001 with the donation of more than 200 works of Eduardo F. Costantini's collection. It is a museum devoted to Art from Latin America, currently holding a prestigious collection of more than 600 artworks, and offering an active program of exhibitions, workshops, film, literature, and publications.

The building design was selected from an international competition launched in the framework of the 7th Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aires BA/97. The winner project was elaborated by a Studio in Córdoba, AFT Arquitectos: Gastón Atelman, Martín Fourcade and Alfredo Tapia.

Malba presents also temporary exhibitions of contemporary art, and offers film screenings, seminars, talks and workshops, book presentations in its auditorium, as well as a broad educational program.
