Tree of Tokamachi. 2018
The artist digs into the ground around a withered tree growing in a place with a panoramic view and reveals its roots. Trees do not stand alone but in relation with all other existences, such as the surrounding trees, grass, soil, the sun, and the sky. The artwork reminds visitors of the presence of trees in this particular setting.
