The Yellow cow products. 2006
Mixed media installation
Yellow cow products intends to "represent the link communicating the social, political, and ecological challenges that face the world as a result of urbanization, pollution, radical political ambitions, and the continued abuse of our natural resources. (.) The cow with the yellow color was used as an expression of religious heritage."
(From a statement by the artist)
About the work
The concept progressed towards a rebellious connotation by maiming its artistic value via mass production. In the same mentality of businessmen who market and sell so-called "top quality" products to consumers, Yellow Cow Products is being launched for those who follow art: in an artistic manner. Under the comprehensive umbrella of a timeless, space-less work of art, the products will become available as per a preset schedule. There are two broad overlapping visions for this experiment. The first is ecological, represented by the surrounding environment, and the second is biotic, represented by the yellow cow. Yellow Cow Products will represent the link communicating the social, political and ecological challenges that face the world as a result of urbanization, pollution, radical political ambitions, and the continued abuse of our natural resources. Living creatures impact the environment just as much as they are impacted by it, and this relationship is effected in social, political, religious and ecological transformations the cow with the yellow color was used as an expression of religious heritage.
