Für Kuratoren und Spezialisten aus der arabischen Welt. Vergeben von Delfina Foundation, zusammen mit Iniva und Goldsmith College. Deadline: 9. Juni 2014.Apr 2014
Delfina Foundation is pleased to invite curators and researchers living and working in the Arab world to apply for a Research Fellowship in partnership with Iniva (the Institute of International Visual Arts) and Goldsmith College’s Department of Visual Cultures and Ph.D. Program in Curatorial/Knowledge.
The Research Fellowship 2014 aims to provide an opportunity for intensive research in the field of visual culture by curators and researchers who might benefit from the research and curatorial work that is being done by the fellowship's partner institutions in London.
Priority will be given to ideas that can be reasonably developed during the three-month residency into a blueprint for a future project (e. g. publication, exhibition, etc.). The fellow can pursue new lines of inquiry or further ongoing research during their time in London. Artists are welcome to apply; however this residency is largely focused on the development of critical-curatorial discourse, not singularly artistic practice or projects. Therefore, artists should carefully consider if their projects would benefit from a different type of residency, rather than this fellowship.
Alongside the research fellow from the Arab world, who will be funded by Delfina Foundation’s family of individual supporters, there will be one participant from India funded by the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA). Please note that Indian participants should apply directly to FICA by writing to them at email@example.com or calling +91 11 4610 3550 for queries.
