Fortune Teller
A 1959 oil on Celotex painting depicts a large bearded man standing in front of a table. On the table are cards, a lantern, and a tortoise walking towards the edge of the table. The man's hands are crossed at his chest and his eyes look straight ahead. A woman is seated on a chair behind him. Her head is wrapped in a long black cloth, and her hands are placed serenely on her knees. The walls in the room are covered with drawings of fish, cats, eyes, hands, leaves, and half-human half-animal figures. The painting is colorful with hues of red, green, yellow, and blue. Its width measures 26 cm. Its height is 36 cm.
Devotees
A 1953 oil painting on cardboard depicts three human figures pictured from the torso upwards. One figure is holding a cutting tool, the second a dove, and the third a bouquet of flowers. Two figures have headwear on and are facing the viewer. The third is bald and looking sideways to show a gold earring dangling from its left ear. A lizard crawls above the three of them. A wire—seemingly attached to the eyelid of the third figure—extends down from the lizard's mouth into the mouths of the two other figures. The painting is childlike and colorful. It features shades of yellow, red, green, blue, pink, and purple. Its width is 93 cm. Its height is 62 cm.
