Abstraction in the arts developed in Latin America takes on a remarkable position, not to say a privileged one, along all the period framed by the 20th century, an emancipating lapse of time facing the artistic practices from other latitudes, which had a great influence and, which necessarily, through its contrast, could strengthen our artistic identity to the extent of diluting the frontiers and highlighting the relevance of giving a regional label to the production of creators of Latin American origin.
The exhibition, far from being a conventional one, is a mise-en-scène that seeks to generate academic questions about the multiple possibilities abstraction has in present times, intersected with the reincident phenomena which disclose distinctive and therefore surprising identity features.
