In the third register, a shepherd sits on a stone and looks at his goat and fat-tailed sheep grazing under fruit trees.
The branches of the second tree from the right seems to be growing downwards. This might have happened because of a mosaicist sitting "above" the scene at work, and not noticing his mistake because the sheep beside this tree is the only one looking down (or up from his perspective, like all the others from the normal view.)
