Like the arches of the palace entrance, this arch is constructed from limestone blocks covered with reliefs of flowers and vines, similar to the decoration of the south facade.

Qasr al-Mshatta

The Umayyad palace from the mid 8th cent., close to Amman's airport, is world-famous for its carved ornamentation. Remains can be seen on the site, extensively restored in 2013.
